User Account Control (UAC) in Windows Vista
Windows Vista's User Account Control (UAC) is a new Windows feature that can help prevent unauthorized changes to user's computer. During installation of new program or using some administrator functions, UAC may introduce some inconvenience (you need to choose RunAs Administrator to do these tasks). The following describes the way to turn Vista's UAC on or off. However, we recommend you should always turn it on for normal use of your Windows for security reason.

Go to the User Accounts screen via Control Panel.  If you set your Control Panel to "Classic View", choose "Control Panel" and then "User Account". If you set your Control Panel to "Default View", choose "Control Panel", then "User Accounts and Family Safety" and then "User Accounts".  You will see the following screen:

By clicking "Turn User Account Control on or off", you will see another dialog box (see below):
Select the check box to configure UAC on or off. After you click OK button and restart the computer, the UAC  will be changed according to your choice.
